Parents/Guardians-

As we move deeper into the winter season the likelihood of our district running buses on hard surfaces only could become a reliable option for us as we do our best to navigate road conditions.  That being said, please check your Infinite Campus Parent Portal for the Hard Surface Routes email sent out this morning. We’d ask that everyone review these routes, and if there are any questions please call Teri Rawdon at 319-989-2552.

Best,

Justin Stockdale

Superintendent

Next week, Dike Elementary kids are going to get our DANCE on!!   We'll talk with our kids about University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital (and all those hospitals that greatly help cancer patients).   Most kids know about the WAVE during IA Football games, and we will declare next week as our WAVE WEEK.   We'll take some PE time to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE in support of the UNI Mini Dance Marathon.  We'll talk about our own Cole Mikkelsen, who has benefited IMMENSELY from their work to conquer his cancer along with many others.   On Friday, we will take a few minutes to have ALL of our kids dance outside and then WAVE to the camera.   We will then send the video to the kids at Stead Family Hospital.
I'm including a link ( click here) if you choose to donate to this great cause.   Feel free to pass the link on to anyone else who might be interested in donating.    There is no need to send money (with your kids) to school....as it is all done online.
Happy November!!!
