The next upcoming ACT test date will be October 28, 2017 and the deadline to register by is September 22, 2017.

All juniors will be attending the college fair at UNI on Tuesday, September 12th. There are approximately 80 different colleges, universities, community colleges, military representatives and technical schools that will be available for students to talk with. We will arrive at UNI at 9:00 and leave at 10:00. 



        On Wednesday, October 11th all JUNIORS have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT test.  This will be done onsite starting at 8:20-11:28. This is generally intended for students who are in the top 15% in their class. If you are unsure if you are in the top 15% in your class ask Mrs. Ames. This test assesses your critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills. The fee is $16.00 per student payable to DNH. Students should stop in the guidance office ASAP and see Mrs.Ames about signing up and picking up pre-test materials.  Wednesday, September 20th is the last day to sign up for the PSAT with Mrs. Ames.  Deadline for turning in your money is Friday, October 6th .




Come to the FREE Financial Aid Presentation at Dike-New Hartford High School


  • Dike-New Hartford High School guidance office has invited a representative from the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) to provide a free financial aid presentation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018  in room 101.
  • The goal of the Financial Aid Program is to help high school juniors and their parent/guardian as they prepare for senior year to understand the process of applying for financial aid and scholarships, offer effective tools for college cost comparisons, and learn how they can access additional help.
