DRIVER’S ED

Anyone interested in taking driver education during the Spring 2018 or Summer 2018 session please look in your email for directions on how to register.  If you have any questions please contact Mr Bennett.  Classes will start the first week of February.

 

Today is Day 5 band lessons.  The special early dismissal schedule is posted in GoogleClassroom.

 

PLAY PRACTICE

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school in Dike - take the shuttle after school for those who don’t have other practices. There will be a shuttle back to NH afterward.

 

Those students who have another practice will be excused. If Miss Garwood has already given you a script make sure you bring it along.

The HS Cross Country team is selling cake balls. Order forms are available in the office.

JH PLAY - The Adventures of Rose Red (Snow White's Less Famous Sister).

Rose Red has the pressure to become famous like her big sister Snow White now that she's thirteen. Her family and friends are trying to find something unique about her to feature on the cover of the Grimm Times newspaper. With the help of Goldilocks, Cinderella, Baby Bear, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother, Rose Red discovers that there may be more to life than being famous.

Junior High Play auditions will be this week; Sign ups for auditions are outside Ms. Garwood’s door. Auditions will be held in the Elementary Music room. Only those interested in acting will need to audition, but there will be a sign up for those who would like to help backstage.

 

COACHES VS. CANCER

The DNH High School Student Council is sponsoring a Coaches vs. Cancer challenge. Our school is competing against Denver to raise the most money for the American Cancer Society. The competition begins today and ends on January 12. Please donate $1.00 to the bucket in your building's office and receive a paper basketball to fill out in someone’s honor. This year we are fighting for kids like Cole, a preschooler at DNH who is battling Leukemia.  Friday night’s game against Denver will be an orange out. Please wear orange to support Cole and others who are battling Leukemia.

UGLY SWEATER CONTEST

 

The Student Council would like to announce the Second Annual Ugly Sweater Contest to be held on Friday, Dec. 22.  There is a $1 entry fee that can be paid to Mr. Connolly or Mrs. Becker,there will be a prize given for ugliest sweater in each grade 6 through 8 and staff!  Winners will be announced at the end of the Geography Bee.  Additionally, the student council will be selling movie snacks for 50 cents.  This will be held in the Middle School hallway and students can purchase snacks and baked goods on their way to the movies!  All of the funds raised will go to the patio project in front of the gym
