There will be three representatives from each grade, one from each section, and an additional member at large for all three grades.  Elections will be held the week of September 10 and all nomination papers are due by TODAY. This is a great opportunity for you to bring ideas from your classmates that will help to make our school a better place. You will have the opportunity to plan activities and service projects for our middle school.  If you have any questions, please talk to Mrs. Becker.

There will be a lockdown drill today at 1:00. Students should remain silent during the drill and shelter in place until you receive the all clear.

BAND & VOCAL

Day 5 band lessons today.  6th graders please check GoogleClassroom because there are a few changes to the schedule today.

We are done with 6th hour vocal lessons for the school year.   Makeup lessons for those who need to bring their grade up are available after school 5/24, 5/29, and 5/31.

CODING CLUB

Coding club for 6th - 8th grader are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15-8:15 am in the Library/Media Center.

8TH GRADE PROMOTION:

8th Grade Promotion Ceremony is Thursday, May 24th at 7:00 pm at the Dike Aud.

All 8th grade students are invited to a post promotion celebration at Slice in Dike. The cost will be $9.00 per student and will include pizza, drink with free refills, tax, and tip. Money can be dropped off with Megan in the office by the end of the day on Monday May 21st.

ATHLETICS:

JH softball and baseball practices  - Shuttle leaves 3:10 (for everyone)

HS VOLLEYBALL

There will be a meeting for all 8th grade girls interested in going out for Volleyball on Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the high school library. Kyle Clark from BSN will be there with shoes for you to try on if you need new shoes. Please email Coach Harms if you are unable to attend.

JH Football

signups for next season on Mr. Pokorny’s door. There will be a meeting Tuesday for all incoming 7th and 8th grade football players in Mr. Pokorny’s room during Wolverine time.

CROSS COUNTRY

Any to be 7th, 8th, and 9th graders interested in XC there is a sign-up  sheet by Mr. Reingardt’s office. Please contact Mr. Reingardt if any questions.

LOST AND FOUND

JH GIRLS TRACK

Girls track will be having an end of season celebration on Tuesday May 22 at 6:30 a.m. in Mrs. Petersen’s room. Breakfast will be provided. Please plan to ride the morning shuttle from Dike if needed.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings @ 6:30 am – 7:30 am

 

Trapshooting

State Trapshooting competition will be held June 6th. This is the last day of school so if you plan to attend you must be signed up in advance with Coach Purdy and have a note from a parent excusing you from school. Check with Coach Purdy if you have questions.

BAND & VOCAL

Jazz Band - Thur only this week in Dike... shuttle leaves at 6:30. 

Show Choir - Wed 5/16 and Fri 5/18 in Dike... shuttle leaves NH at 6:30.

Combined vocal on Fri, 5/18.

 

Band and Vocal Concert on 5/22 at 7:00 pm at the Dike Aud. Please be there at 6:30. You will need to wear khaki pants and blue polos. The concert will feature the 7-8 Grade Band, Jazz Band, Show Choir and 7-8 Grade Choir.

 

CODING CLUB

6-8th Graders on Tuesday and Thursday mornings - 7:15 - 8:15 am in the Library.

Softball skills assessment - Any 8th grade girl who would like to may come to the HS Softball field after school today for a skills assessment for HS Softball. Coach Oelmann will conduct the assessment from 1:30 - 2:45. You may take the shuttle down, but there will not be transportation afterward.
