Daily Announcements for September 4, 2019.   Day 2

If you would like to request a song for Homecoming, please write the song and artist on the sheet on the student info desk.


JUNIOR MEETING: 
We will meet next Thursday, September 5th in the auditorium at the start of 2nd hour. Bring your laptops to get registered for the upcoming college fair at UNI.  I'm hoping this won't take any longer than 15 minutes.


History Day Students:  There will be a webinar on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 pm about the History Day Theme.  More information can be found at:    https://www.nhd.org/breaking-barriers-history      It will also be recorded and can be viewed later.


TAG students:  If you are interested in learning more about any of these activities please attend the following informational meetings:    Tuesday: 1st hour Future Problem Solving,  Wednesday:  2nd hour History Day,    Thursday: 3rd hour:  Battle of the Books,    Friday: 1st hour  Scenario Writing.   2nd hour  Paper Rollercoasters


Are you interested in joining the DNH Robotics team? Meetings will be Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the robotics room (across from Ms. Byram’s room). Stop in to check out what robotics is all about.


Anyone 14 or older interested in taking take driver education during the Fall 2019 session please check for an email from Mr. Bennett regarding registration.  You must register by September 12th, 2019  and class will begin September 16th.  If you have any questions please contact Mr. Bennett.


Orders are still being taken for Football t-shirts.

If you are a sophomore, junior, or senior and ordered a yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year, you may stop by Mrs. Stephens’ room after school this week to pick yours up. She will not hand them out before school or during the school day.

An email will be sent with the link and if you have any questions please contact Mrs. Ascher. Deadline to submit an application is Friday, September 20.

Juniors & Seniors: If you would like to participate in the Homecoming Powder Puff game on Monday, September 9, please sign up on the paper on the student info table in the library by this Friday, August 30. If we do not have enough players by today, we will not have a Powder Puff.


 

"If you are interested in joining the DNH e-sports club, there will be a meeting Friday, August 30 after school in Mr. Riggs' room to determine which games will be played this season.  Whether you are a serious gamer or just want to have fun playing with friends, the e-sports club is right for you. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Riggs."

The “student info table” is now located in the library on the south side by the entrance doors. We will now have all order forms, sign up sheets, student mail, etc here throughout the year.

FOC is face to face at the outreach center, on Monday & Friday. Wednesdays there will be online work to be completed. Class starts the 26th.

    This year's high school musical will be Shrek! With all sorts of fun characters please consider signing up! Audition and back stage sign up  is outside the music offices. Auditions will take place Aug 28th-30th. If you need an additional audition time please talk to Mrs. Benschoter or Miss Garwood.

This year's high school musical will be Shrek! With all sorts of fun characters please consider signing up! Audition and back stage sign up  is outside the music offices. Auditions will take place Aug 28th-30th. If you need an additional audition time please talk to Mrs. Benschoter or Miss Garwood.


Class meetings today in the auditorium: Sophomores at 8:50, Seniors at 9:50, 11:00 Juniors and 1:50 for students taking college classes.

 There will be a Women's swim meeting on Thursday, May 30 at 6:15 pm at the Holmes Jr High pool (505 Holmes Dr CF).To go over how the season is run, practice schedule, meet schedule, and vote on a team suit.

There is a cross country sign up sheet for next fall outside the office. Friday, May 24th there will be a cross country meeting in the morning at 7:15am in Mr. Cuveliers room. If you can't be there contact Coach Reingardt.
