Daily Announcements for October 23, 2019.   Day 2

Mark your calendars for Open Mic Night! Student Council will be hosting this year’s first Open Mic Night on November 11 at 7:00pm in the auditorium. Students can perform poetry, prose, music, comedy, etc. for the audience. Check your Infinite Campus for information on how to sign up to perform!

Any student interested in bowling, you may sign up on the student info desk in the library.


Dress Up Days for Red Ribbon Week are as follows. Prizes will be given for the best costumes.
* Thursday-- Sweats Day, Don’t sweat it! Be drug free! (Wear your sweats)
* Friday-- Show your Wolverine Pride! Be drug free! (Wear your blue and white) 


Juniors: Your Red Wheel Prom Fundraiser orders are due on Monday the 28th of October.  Please try to sell at least 10 items. If you are finished selling you may turn them into Shelley or Mrs. Slack.


Monday, October 28th all boys will go to the auditorium during SSR for a survey from the IAHSAA.

Daily Announcements for October 22, 2019.   Day 1


Lunch today: Pizza bites or Quesadilla, glazed carrots, rice krispie treats and salad bar.


Congratulations to the DNH Volleyball Team for winning the NICL East Conference Championship last night!  We know you have bigger goals and are ready to support a deep tournament run!


Girls state applications are due TODAY.  Please turn into Mrs. Ames.


Seniors: This year you will have the opportunity to submit a Scholarship America Application for college scholarships. These scholarships come from local donors who want to assist students with college. Everyone should apply that plans to attend college. There will be several help sessions to fill out the scholarship form correctly. You need to attend one of these sessions!!! The first opportunity is Tuesday, October 22 during conference night. There will be 2 shifts available. Times are 3:00-5:00 pm or 6:30-8:30 pm. There can only be 12 students per shift. Email Mrs. Ames right away if you are interested....and be sure to list what time you want. You will get an email confirmation on Monday, October 21 with more details. If you do not 'get in' this time, there will be other opportunities in the future. Keep checking classroom!

Congratulations also goes out to Senior Ashton Syharath who captured the title at last night's MVC Diving Championships last night.  Ashton will compete in regionals in the upcoming weeks and has high hopes of advancing to state for a 2nd straight year!

STEM Camp Volunteer Planning meeting today (Wednesday) in Ms. Byram’s room from 1:15PM to 1:45PM. 

 

If you are a senior that wants to go to Wartburg….. Tell Ms. Byram as she will nominate you for a $4,000 scholarship. 

 

A huge congratulations to Lainey Fager who was selected as one of two soloists at the UNI Vocal Arts Festival!  She sang her vocal solo to a packed crowd at the Galhager Bluedorn stage. 

 

Reminder: Girls basketball meeting today right after school today in the high school gym.
