There will be a Spanish fundraiser at the Taco John’s in Cedar Falls, Thursday, October 18th. Please come and eat anytime from 5-8 pm. Part of the sales during that time will go to the Spanish students’ trip to Mexico in March. Tell your family and friends to join us!
TAG Schedule: The TAG schedule will be posted in Mrs. Nicholson’s Google Classroom.
The DNH Trapshooting Team will be holding a demonstration day this Sunday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Gun Club. Any students in 6th-12th grade interested in trapshooting are invited to come out to watch a trapshooting demonstration and try it out by shooting a round under the supervision of the DNH Trapshooting coaching staff.
Student Council will be having their fall Blood Drive on Monday, October 29 from 8-12 in the high school gym. We are still in need of many donors. Please contact Mrs. Seitz if you would like to donate.
Student Council will be hosting an Open Mic Night on Monday, November 5 at 7:00pm in the Auditorium. This is a time for performers to try out new material for an audience. Performances could include poetry, music, comedy, skits, etc. All performances must be school appropriate and limited to 5 minutes. If you would like to perform, please sign up on the student information desk by Thursday, October 25. See Mrs. Seitz if you have questions.
SENIORS: The Herff Jones Rep. will be here on Monday Oct 22nd during the lunch hour to help with any orders and questions you may have about the senior announcements.
There will be a meeting for all students interested in participating in Large Group and/or Individual Speech on Wednesday, October 24 at 1:10 in the library . This meeting will last about 30 minutes and include brief auditions for freshmen and sign up for events. If you are unable to attend or have questions about speech, please contact Mrs. Seitz prior to the meeting.
Next week (Oct. 22-26) is Red Ribbon Week. This year’s theme is “Life is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free.” Pledge your support on Monday, by signing the banner in the multi before school and picking up your bracelet. We will also have dress up days.

We will have a 9-12 Boys basketball meeting on Monday, October 22 at 3:15 in Coach Moore’s room. All athletes that are going out need to attend.
Congrats to the Wolverine Cross Country Team on their efforts last night at the district meet. The girls team qualified to state with a 3rd place team finish of Taylor Kvale, Kaity Houts, Alexis Jensen, Rachel Wardell, Zoie Callan, Jadyn Bennett, and Sierra Loger. On the boys side Sawyer Loger qualified for the state meet with a 9th place finish.
